So far, the girl has only seen the Thomas the Tank Engine books.  I haven’t put the television show on or bought her any of the merchandise.  She loves the stories and I’ve spent a considerable amount of time reading them to her.  We went to a friend’s house today and it’s the first time she’d ever seen Thomas in person (as it were).  She was thrilled but the first thing she asked me was where the on button was – a child of her time!

It hits the transport nail right on the head as well.
