What you probably won’t realise is that the pushchair was actually moving when I took this picture. If you look carefully there are 3 clues as to who’s pushing (well ok, 4, if you include the fact that you can’t see who’s pushing because she’s shorter (just) than the pushchair).
As for the title – we took the girl and the boy to Calais for the day on Eurotunnel to do some essential shopping. Well, what’s more important than beer, wine and Persil (other than nappies)? It was mostly ok – just a very long day and the boy didn’t seem to take too well to all the travelling and/or food out of a jar. Well done the boy, you obviously have a very discerning palate and only like your mummy’s cooking. You’ll go far.

Jealous now, I have a good 3.5 hour heavy drive before I can get to France.
I love the booze cruises though, btw there is one brand of champagne there that is I think about 5.20 euro in the supermarket ‘cremant d’alsace’ and it is simply brilliant.

great shot, what a happy boy and the girl almost invisible – I was in Calais once in 2000 – we were actually on our way to the Nausica in boulogne sur mer!
