We went to the coast today. It wasn’t our most successful trip ever! The cost of parking was quite high and we’d just got both children out of the car with all their paraphanelia and down to the (stony) beach when it started raining. My last words as we’d left the car? “Don’t bother with them, of course we won’t need the rain cover for the buggy or the waterproofs”. We were there for 10 minutes before we decided to give up and come back. Which was a shame, considering how much we’d paid to park for an hour.
As we came over the hills, the mist came down really quickly. I’m afraid I wasn’t brave enough to get out of the car in the interest of good photography so you can just see the car bonnet in the bottom of the shot! This was taken at midday on the day after the longest day.
