Did you see that?  Those numbers up there?  366 of 366 – I made it through a whole year.  Blimey.

At the start, I didn’t actually think I’d manage it for a year (I am the Queen of starting things and not finishing them off) but I thought it would be something to aim for and a nice way to get myself taking a few more pictures.

I’m really pleased that I’ve done the whole year for lots of reasons.  Not only has it given me a tangible reminder of the year but I’ve also met some fabulous people on the way – there are too many to name individually but check out my blog roll for some very talented photographers, story-makers and those that are both.

It has also spurred me onto to doing some other things.  I only finally got round to doing a cake decorating course this year because I’d mentioned it in the “About Me” page so I thought I should do something about it.  I’m still not a fantastic cake decorator but I’ve enjoyed doing the course and enjoyed just doing something different.  I also love making cakes and decorating them for the husband and the children – I find it very satisfying.

Finally, it’s made me approach my days in a very different way – every day is a photographic opportunity and a challenge to find that opportunity rather than just another day with the children.

There is one person I should thank – the lovely Angelfeet because it was through her blog that I found out about the whole 366 malarkey.  Thank you Angelfeet.

Also, a big group thank you goes to all the people who’ve been to visit me regularly and comment on my blog – you really have kept me blogging longer than I would have managed under my own steam.

Here is my final offering of the year.  Grandma and Grandpa bought the girl a keyboard (with a microphone) which she loves.  We’ve relegated it to the bedroom because I’d hate her to get bored with it by playing it too much (ahem) but she now goes upstairs on her own to have a quick plinkety plonk.

All I have to do now is decide whether or not to continue next year.  Of course, I’ve already decided what I’m going to do – you’ll just have to wait until tomorrow…..
