No, never.
Honestly, never, ever was I going to allow disney merchandise into my house.

The girl has just about reached the end of my hairdressing skills.
Not only does she want plaits, she now wants them “up”.

I’m going to have to “up” my game fairly soon. I might even (shudder) have to get a book out of the library on hairdressing. So not my cup of tea.

This was taken in the mirror of an OHP.
That’s not something I ever thought I’d type here.
Don’t know what an OHP is? Shh now, I have some very young readers (*cough*Marylin*cough*). It was used to project an image or text, onto a wall, from a transparency, before laptops were invented.
A sleek bit of kit, I think you’ll agree.
Apparently the girl’s school will be thrilled that we found this for them.

As mentioned a fortnight ago, the girl is providing today’s picture.
I love that her height gives her a different perspective on things. To me, this is just an ordinary, albeit fishy, light pull. When looked down on from above it’s not all that, but seen from her height it looks much more interesting.

My girl, she does love a bit of craft. I’m thinking I should send her up to Marylin for a crash course.
I’m not the crafty type. Seeing her doing this, and loving it, always amazes me.

One of the best things about memes, is that they’re really useful blog fodder.
I love getting tagged for memes but rarely get around to doing them. In a 365 year though, I’m almost guaranteed to get around to them (not so subtle hint, tag me).
The lovely Marylin over at Softthistle (who I’m seeing, with Nikkii, in less than three weeks, hurrah) tagged me for the 3×9 meme (only a week ago, ahem).
The rules: All you have to do is answer the nine questions below and then tag three of your fellow bloggers. That way we can all learn a little something new about each other, Here we go!
Now for today’s photo (let’s not forget, this is still a photo 365).
While I was doing my epic 16.5 mile walk today (in 4.5 hours, in case you’re interested), the husband bravely took the children to our local supermarket. Magazines were offered as inducement to behave nicely.
The girl picked one that had 4 free rings which she took to wearing knuckle duster stylee. Classy.

We bought the kids a little folding chair each for sitting outside. I hate sitting on the floor so assume that everyone else does too. No, my children aren’t spoilt. Ahem.
The children have, of course, come up with their own use for them and they are now firmly ensconced in front of the television. Sigh.

I always thought that having children was all about the firsts. First teeth, first steps, first words, the list goes on.
I hadn’t really thought of the lasts, last breastfeed, last time they fall asleep on you, last time you sing them to sleep.
Last time they look at this type of book.
I hadn’t realised how, in amongst all the good bits, it can also be quite sad.
