119/365 – 2 Weeks

from today I will be pounding the streets of London. 26.2 miles, overnight.

I’m starting to get a little nervous.

118/365 – The Princess and a Plea

Amidst all this talk of princesses, we decided to show the girl what happened when you untied the bows at each corner of her bed.

She is utterly thrilled and now happily reads herself a bedtime story behind the privacy of her net curtains.  I found the boy in there this morning, lying down next to her being read Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

So, that’s the princess part, now onto my plea.

I haven’t really talked about the Moonwalk much on here, and to be honest most of my 5 readers have already sponsored me but I figured it was worth mentioning again.

In two weeks time I am going to walk for 26.2 miles, overnight in a decorated bra.  I’ve been training and I’ll be with friends but it is going to be very hard.  I walked 19 miles today as a training walk and to be honest, right now I’m not sure where I’m going to find the extra 7 miles.

I suspect I will find those extra miles lurking in the reason I’m doing this.  I have been extremely lucky never to have felt that sinking sensation that comes with finding a lump in your breast.  I do, however, know many people that have been affected by breast cancer.  Some stories ended happily with remission, some not so happily.

Doing this walk will enable me to raise money for research into the causes of and cures for breast cancer.  A worthy walk I think, with 7 miles found easily if I stop to think about why I’m doing it.

If you haven’t sponsored me, please would you consider clicking here and sponsoring me. Or one of my co-walkers if you’d rather.  Thank you.

116/365 – Who’s That Trip Trapping Across My Bridge?

Why, the littlest billy goat gruff, of course. Although he’d argue that he’s the biggest and scariest.

115/365 – Marmalade

Apparently you can make delicious marmalade in just 30 minutes.

If, that is, you can be bothered to hoik out the saucepan, add sugar and water and stand over it for half an hour.

Doesn’t sound complicated, does it?

I’ve had this tin since January.

114/365 – The Same but oh so Different

Aunty D and Uncle P gave the children some paint your own egg cups for an Easter present (thank you very much).

They sat down this morning to do them together, which is unusual – they are rarely found doing the same thing, let alone at the same time.

Less surprising though, is the way their different personalities shine through in the finished products.

113/365 – Recovery

It amazes me.  They’re so tired one day and so completely full of energy the next.

Today was a running around, blowing and catching bubbles kind of day.

112/365 – Too Much

It’s all very well having a sleep-over followed by an egg hunt with your friends, but it can’t half take it out of you.

112/365 – Brushed

He doesn’t let me near him with a hairbrush normally. You can see why.

111/365 – Whirligig

For such a still, calm person, the girl can’t half generate some motion blur when she puts her mind to it.

I feel this little space of mine mutating again.  The husband has a new job which entails him being out of the house for the best part of 12 hours a day.  He and I have tea when he gets home, after we’ve put the kids to bed, meaning I don’t get anywhere near a computer until about this time.

With the ability to post a picture from my iPhone (and thus the sofa) I can foresee that happening much more often, resulting in much less wordy posts.

Not a bad thing as I tend to ramble on about nothing much most days!
