Ha! Weebles! I didn’t know they were still making them. This made me smile in the toy shop today.
It’s not the only thing that has made me smile. The last week and a half has been a bit on the rubbish side, but the offers upon offers of help I’ve had from mummy friends from school has been overwhelming in the nicest way. If I’d wanted to, I could have stayed at home all this week with a rota of willing volunteers to ferry my children to and from school. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.
I’ve had the longest tummy upset in the history of mankind (I may be exaggerating a wee smidge there but it honestly has felt like it). Today I finally crumbled and went to see my GP. I hadn’t really eaten for a couple of days and was beginning to feel a bit fuzzy around the edges. Of course, I felt better the minute I left the surgery (I wonder if that had anything to do with the sample pot she gave me – bleurgh). I remember Mum telling me, ages ago, that when I was little I would be really poorly right up to the moment she got me to the Drs door and then I’d skip in. Some things never change (except perhaps the skipping).
The other upshot of the bug is that I am currently slightly less weeble-like than pre bug. That won’t last but I am sashaying around in my oh so slightly loose jeans pretending that I actually am a size 14 and that’s making me smile too.
