You may remember that I dropped my lovely camera, nearly a week ago, causing the lens to go flying off whilst making a nasty “CRACK” sound.
It would appear that only the bit on the lens that holds it onto the camera got broken. How lucky am I?
The husb found a bit that would make it all work again. How clever is he?
He spent most of last night fixing it all back together (he had to use jewellers screwdrivers and his soldering iron – it was fiddly and tricky). It’s nearly there, the camera just needs a clean inside as there’s some pesky dust creating specks on pictures.
My husband is a complete genius. If it weren’t for him, I’d probably either never have picked up the camera again or bought a whole new lens. I wouldn’t even have known that there was a bit that could fix it, let alone what it might be called or how to google it.
I’d probably never have spent so much time peering inside the body of a camera either. Yes, it’s my fault it’s so dusty – I just couldn’t leave it alone.
Yikes – I would totally freak out if I dropped my camera! Hopefully it will all be back together soon
