Goodness

The days are certainly flying by.  I can hardly believe that another week has gone by with no blog post.

Oh wait, I can totally believe that, because we’ve had another “interesting” week.  The smalls both had a tummy bug.  His short, hers long.  I say long, her’s was only 4 days but it seemed much longer.  Then with uncharacteristic generosity, they passed it onto me.  Very kind I thought, particularly as the last one I had had only just finished.  On the upside, I appear to have had the boy’s very short version.  Phew.

I haven’t much felt like blogging, so I’ve been waiting for something interesting to happen so that I wouldn’t have to think too hard about what to write.  (Note to self: book at least one interesting event a month so that I’ve got something to kickstart myself with when I don’t blog for a while).

Today we took the smalls to see a play* in the tummy of a huge upside down purple cow.  Honestly.

Look.

It was so huge that you can barely see the girl standing under the head (thank goodness for bright yellow coats, thank you Angelfeet).

* The play was a very clever amalgamation of four of Julia Donaldson’s books – Tiddler, The Smartest Giant In Town, A Squash And A Squeeze and Monkey Puzzle.  It was showing as part of the Udderbelly Festival.

  1. Tell those parents who send their sick children to school that it is unfair to give the bugs away. We have the most amazing storm going on right now outside and I am pleased to be inside. I am writing about nothing I think tonight. Blown away by the crazy playhouse in your photo!. Words are not enough!
