My poor, much loved, Nikon is still in camera hospital. Well, a high shelf where the kids can’t reach it while the husb and I try to figure out what to do. The gizmo he bought works perfectly. After a 3 hour operation (it was very fiddly) the lens now goes back on the camera and, more importantly, stays there. Sadly though, some kind of dust/grot has got into the camera so that now when I take pictures there are dark spots on the shots. Grr.
I haven’t picked up the husband’s Sony camera since I took my Nikon off Auto. I got used to the Nikon settings and was enjoying using it and the pictures I was taking.
We went to Grandma and Grandpa’s for lunch today (lovely as always, thank you). Normally I would take my camera but decided to bite the bullet and try the Sony.
I worked out the settings fairly quickly and while I haven’t taken any technically great shots have got some lovely memory pictures.
The boy found a new lorry to play with – it was love at first sight.

The girl and Grandma did some hardcore crafting. I got really lucky with this shot and caught both of them smiling – I am usually queen of only one person in the shot smiling, or everyone but one person looking at the camera.

And to cap it all, Grandpa had some seeds for them to plant.

It was a very lovely day.
