I have always wanted a pair of these t-shirts, but have never seen them for sale and never got round to getting some from t’interweb.

Thank you so much to my lovely friend Angelfeet for providing me with much amusement. A better photo will follow when I can get them to play along. They weren’t really in cooperative mode when I took this.

Swan Lake

I took my girl went to the ballet this evening. We went to the Royal Albert Hall to see Swan Lake “in the round”. We took Grandma and Aunty D with us, met various school friends there, and a very good time was had by all.

We started with dinner in Giraffe – a new find for us and one I think we’ll be going back to. The staff were fabulous with the kids and as soon as I mentioned allergies (side note – the husb and boy were supposed to be going off to do their own thing but due to timings ended up eating with us) our waiter produced the requisite allergy information and reassured me that the boy’s food would be produced in an area where nuts hadn’t been kept/used/prepared, without me even asking.

We left, with full tummies, and walked along Kensington Road. The girl was suitably impressed when we rounded the corner and saw the Royal Albert Hall, in all it’s late afternoon glory.

She absolutely loved Swan Lake (side note – I had no idea that 60 ballerinas could make that much noise). We ended up leaving early (they were still going strong at nearly 10pm and her eyes were starting to droop), for which I think she may never forgive me, but I’ve promised her we’ll get the DVD and watch it all the way to the end at home. I fear she also plans to grill her Great Aunt M (who was a ballerina with the Royal Ballet) next time we meet up. I hope you’re up for some “good toes, naughty toes” Great Aunt M!

My back has gone “ping” again. Not fun when working in a reception class with teeny tiny chairs and teeny tiny tables. Not to mention the teeny tiny people whose level I have to get down to.

I’m not a fan of medicine (I’ve taken enough of the stuff over the last year or so) but I had to crumble and hit the painkillers again. I took one co-codomal but it made me feel most peculiar so I won’t be doing that again. The naproxen seem to be slightly less yuck making so now to see how effective they are.

Organised

I used to be hyper-organised. Things like this, bought for me for my birthday by my lovely husband, who (a) knows me well and (b) was probably fed up with them hanging on the back of the bedroom door, make my heart sing.

And then I remember my tupperware cupboard. Please tell me I’m not the only organised person with one of these hidden away?!
